The Sleep Garden was one of five new quartets written by composers selected to participate in the Scarborough Philharmonic Orchestra’s New Generation Composer’s Project. Composed for the Odin Quartet, the piece was workshopped in April 2023 at the Canadian Music Centre in Toronto and was one of the two pieces selected to premiere on September 30th, 2023.

This recording is from a reading of the piece by the JACK Quartet during summer 2023 at the Bowdoin International Festival of Music. The performers are Christopher Otto (violin I), John Pickford Richards (violin II), Ari Streisfeld (viola), and Kevin McFarland (cello).
